About Kathryn

I am passionate about photography because I love to make memories. Life moves quickly and our little ones are only little for so long. How quickly we forget the little things. I have also personally lost loved ones and find it very frustrating to have very little left of them. Pictures are so very valuable and mean so much to me personally. My hope is to capture moments for my clients that they will cherish today and tomorrow.

My Style

Casual, relaxed and natural. If I could be a fly on the wall during a photo shoot, that’s where I would rather be. I LOVE to capture people in their own environment. I love the “in-between” shots, the natural laughter and smiles, the teasing, playing and yes, even the crying too. So, if you catch me taking pictures when you’re “not ready” well that’s where the fun pictures come into play. I absolutely love kids. I have four of my own. I love to tease, laugh and get to know your kids so that they are comfortable around me. I find that some children are more relaxed when I can have them to myself without pressure from others to smile. During a shoot I may just ask you to go play somewhere else while I hang out with your kids and let them do their own thing while I sit back and take pictures. My dream shoot would be for a family to just completely let loose, play and forget I am there and let their hair get messy, feet dirty and just play with their kids. As for me, I am a very casual girl. I will most likely show up to a shoot in jeans, a t-shirt and flip flops and hair in a pony tail because in order to get these fun shots, I’ve gotta get a little messy too!
